How to use it well

A first-run walkthrough, a placement map for every body area, and short guides written in plain language. None of it replaces advice from your own clinician.

Five steps, start to finish

  1. 1

    Answer the safety questions

Before every session the app asks about implanted electronic devices. An honest yes locks the session — that lock is the point.

  2. 2

Pick the area and the reason

Choose the body area, then what you are treating. The app shows the research strength and regulatory status for that choice.

  3. 3

    Place the pads or applicator

Follow the placement map for your area. Clean, dry skin, pads a hand's width apart, sore spot in between.

  4. 4

Let the app send the settings

The app builds the whole program and the device checks it against its own limits. You never enter a frequency or output.

  5. 5

    Log how it went

Score pain before and after, add sleep, mood and medication. Two weeks of logs is what makes the trend meaningful.

Where the pads go

Pick the area you are treating. The numbered circles are the two pad positions for one channel, or the applicator head for a radiofrequency session.

Upper back / trapezius

  1. 1Sit upright and let the shoulders drop.
  2. 2Place one pad each side of the spine, on the muscle bulk between neck and shoulder tip.
  3. 3Keep a hand's width between the two pads so the current crosses the sore muscle.

Keep clear of

  • Not on the spine bones themselves
  • Not over the front of the neck

Short guides

Getting started

Charge the unit fully and press the pads onto clean, dry, unbroken skin. Skin cream, sweat and hair all stop pads sticking.

Open Session, pick the body area and what you are treating, then let the app send the settings down. You never type a frequency — the app holds the settings and the device checks them against its own limits.

Start at the lowest comfortable level. A steady tingle or a light pulling feeling is right. Sharp, stinging or burning is too high.

Sit still for the countdown. Peel pads off slowly afterwards and store them on their plastic backing.
