Help, safety and privacy

Everything in one place: common questions, the safety rules that never bend, what we do with your records, and how to reach a person.

Common questions

My pod will not pair.
Charge it, switch it on, and use Chrome on Android, Windows or macOS — a website cannot reach Bluetooth from Safari on iPhone. If pairing succeeds but the app says the mode has to be set on the pod, that is expected until the maker publishes the pod's command list.
The countdown runs but I feel nothing.
Raise the comfort level one step at a time. If there is still nothing, the pads have most likely lost their grip — a pad that no longer sticks evenly across its whole surface will not carry current. Never press a pad down harder to compensate.
How often should I replace pads?
Replace a pad when it stops sticking evenly, looks dry at the edges, or after roughly 20 to 30 uses. Track what you have left under Reminders on your dashboard.
Can I use it without a signal?
Yes. Pages you have already opened stay available offline, and a session runs from the phone. Anything you log while offline needs a connection before it appears on your dashboard.
Will it remind me?
Set the days and time on your dashboard and allow notifications. The reminder is raised by your own phone; if the phone has been fully shut down you will see it when you next open the app, because nothing is sent from a server.
Who can see my records?
Only you, until you accept a clinician's invitation. Accepting lets that one clinician read your session log and questionnaire scores. Nothing is shared before you accept, and creating a patient record does not give anyone access to your own account.
How do I get my data out, or close my account?
Open Account from your dashboard. You can download everything as a spreadsheet or a full data file, and you can delete your account and its records outright.

Safety rules

  • Never place pads over the front of the neck, across the chest or heart, on broken or numb skin, or over an implanted electronic device.
  • Stop and speak to your doctor if pain rises during a session, the skin blisters, or you feel light-headed.
  • Do not use it while driving, in the bath or shower, or while asleep.
  • Screening questions appear before every session and are not optional — the applicator refuses to run when an implanted device is declared.

Terms of use

TayaPulse is a treatment companion, not a doctor and not a diagnosis. It does not cure disease. Every treatment shown carries its evidence level and regulatory status, and anything marked investigational or not evaluated is for use only under an approved research protocol or a clinician's direction.

You are responsible for using the hardware as its maker instructs, for the accuracy of what you log, and for stopping and seeking care when something feels wrong. Treatment settings shown in the app are recommended starting values, not a prescription.

Where the app cannot verify what the hardware actually delivered, it says so on screen rather than assuming. Do not rely on a session record as proof of delivered dose unless the screen shows the output as verified.

Privacy

Your account holds your email, your display name, your treatment log, your questionnaire answers and any plan assigned to you. It is stored on our backend and readable only by you, plus any single clinician whose invitation you have accepted.

We do not sell data, and we do not use your records for advertising. Health data is never shared with a third party without your explicit action inside the app.

You can download everything we hold about you, and you can delete your account and its records permanently, from the Account page. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Reaching a person

In an emergency — chest pain, difficulty breathing, a burn, collapse — call your local emergency number. Do not wait for a reply from support.

For anything the answers above do not cover — a device that will not run, a suspected injury, or a question about your plan — contact your prescribing clinician first if you have one.
